Tuesday, May 10th, 2022

May 10th through October 20th, Idaho Department of Lands (IDL) requires residents living outside of city limits to obtain a burn permit prior to starting controlled burn activities. Permits are also required for burning of slash piles or field burning.

Permits are only being issued for burn barrels. All other burning is closed as of July 29th.

To obtain a permit, visit www.burnpermits.idaho.gov or call the supervisory area office at 208-769-1577 (Kootenai Co.) or 208-263-5104 (Bonner Co.).

In addition, Timberlake Fire Burn Regulations are required to be on-site while burning year-around.
