Marina Fire Safety Rules

No charcoal or wood fired grills (propane grills are permitted as long as they are on a stable surface, attended at all times, and there is a fire extinguishers within 5 feet of the grill).

No fireworks

No open flames including candles

No open flames or sparks within 50 feet of fuel docks or fueling operations.

No portable fuel containers can be used to fill boat fuel tanks, use the 2 fuel docks in Bayview.

Smoking is highly discouraged and may be prohibited in the future

Smoke detectors required in all float homes (each sleeping area and each level) and in all boats with cabins

Fire extinguishers required in all float homes and in all boats

All fires and fuel spills must be reported to the fire district immediately

All sinking boats and structures must be reported to the fire district immediately
Marina Firefighting Hose Cart developed by the Timberlake Fire Protection District in the spring of 2009 as an expedient way to lay hose down the docks and begin suppression within 4 minutes upon arrival of the fire apparatus.

Marina owners may opt to use these hose carts in combination with other fire prevention measures as an alternative to dry standpipes.
